When I come across someone who goes above and beyond my expectations, I share this with as many people as possible. I found this working with Kevin Porter/KP Wildlife Control. I have had ongoing bat sightings in my basement. After not being able to capture the last one I called KP Wildlife Control the next day to set an appointment. Mr. Porter came and looked over my home from basement to attic both inside and outside. He came up with a plan, a fair price, and a time line. He sealed my home’s exterior, set up the attic and addressed some other problems that were not a part of the arrangement. His work was very detailed and thorough. One evening, he even rushed over to capture a bat I spotted in my basement, at no additional charge. My final bill for his services was more than fair and even included additional unexpected savings. He sealed up many places where bats could be entering our attic, but could not do the final sealing and exclusion work until September, per DE code. Right on time he came and placed the exclusion devices. In two weeks those were removed, the attic inspected and cleaned of small amount of guano. Fingers crossed I never see another bat in my house! I do plan to hire him again shortly to seal and place traps for the mice apparently inhabiting that same attic.

During the initial inspection he was very patient with me as I asked him lots of questions. He owns his own business and doesn’t have anyone working for him so the overhead is low. One recommendation I might share with others is to ask for an itemized listing of material and labor broken down. He came up with a cost someway as he went into his truck to crunch the numbers and I just didn’t ask him for it. I wish now I would have. I did not ask as I was just wanting a job completed and didn’t care much about the specifics. I had in my mind the effort it was going to take and he was a bit over that price, but given his thoroughness, I didn’t mind paying the extra over my budget. Now, if we have any varmits reappearing in the next couple of days, I might change my mind on how highly I think of Kevin and his work!

Kevin came out and within a day, had caught the mother in a cage on the roof. That evening we heard the babies in the attic. Kevin came out the next day and was able to capture the 2 babies. He then repaired everything he had to take apart to get them. His price was very reasonable in relation to other prices we had received. I had been almost frantic trying to deal with a birds nest in the vent over my stove and having MAGGOTS fall on the stove. Everyone I had called said they did not do residential hood cleaning. KP Wildlife called me immediately while I was still on the HomeAdvisor website! Both the owner and his wife were very nice and helpful. They gave me a good price over the phone and as I explained my situation, KP knew exactly what my issue was. They honored their estimate, which surprised me as I am finding that no matter the estimate, there always seems to be some sort of “upcharge”. KP was on time and thankfully (because I was still asleep), he called to let me know he was outside. I was afraid that whomever came out would leave if they knocked and I didn’t immediately come to the door since I forgot to mention to his wife while setting the appointment that I work nights. He was very professional and cleaned up (although he did not make a big mess); he was also personable and charming! I would use KP Wildlife again – although heaven knows, I pray I never experience anything like that again in this lifetime! Thank you KP Wildlife for all your wonderful help! After speaking with the owner Kevin for several minutes, several traps were set to catch squirrels that had infested my attic. Two days later the squirrels were captured and released far away. Kevin removed the traps did some minor repairs and the job was complete.

He came out the next day and extracted the bird, inspected the house for possible entry points and placed wire mesh/screens on each. He also fixed a bathroom blower vent that the birds had opened up and also screened off possible entry points for mice. He also cleaned out a dryer vent that was preventing the dryer from exhausting properly – we had recently moved in and apparently the previous owners had never cleaned the dryer vent. He always explained what he was about to do before performing the work. Overall, I would rate him excellent.

Kevin spent a couple of hours setting traps on the roof of our townhome and inspecting the crawl space in our ceiling. A total of 8 squirrels were caught. Kevin came to our place a total of 5 days between installation, removal of the squirrels from the trap, and sealing the entrance points. Kevin responded immediately to our original request and came to our home the next day. He was always easy to reach. The squirrels were not harmed in the trap and he was able to relocate them. We paid one flat fee regardless of how many times he had to come to our home and climb on our roof. Sealing the entrance points was a separate charge and he did an excellent job. Bottom line, if you want results, a good price, and deal with a professional, contact KP Wildlife Control.

Several nights we couldn’t sleep because the noise woke us up. Kevin came and inspected the attic. He said there was evidence of flying squirrel in our attic. He put the counter traps and sealed all the openings to prevent them going back. Five days later he came back and removed the traps. Kevin spent time to inspect the whole house and explained the process. Kevin and Heather were very professional. They came on time and did a great job! For a week now, we can sleep well. There is no more noise.

For me, it’s true, and I’ve been asked to write comments by many businesses. But I gave Kevin/Heather my word I would write this one. The service was so incredible. I called the business at 10:43am and spoke with Kevin and Heather about my non-paying, groundhog roommate(s)! These jokers had a nerve to just sit on my porch and sunbathe they were that out-of-control. Kevin was at my house at 1pm. Gave me a very thorough explanation of what was going on and what to expect. Groundhogs totally took out my foundation by digging a hole from one side of my house to the other. In fact, while Kevin was doing the house inspection, Heather and I were standing in the front yard and a second groundhog came out and ran under the house! Kevin told me not to worry–he’d get’em. Kevin completed his work and I paid the bill and signed at 2:25pm. Kevin said he’d be back tomorrow to check the traps. He set (3). No joke, at 2:45 I’m sitting in my home office working away and I hear a loud thud. I go outside, come back in, and at 2:51 and called Kevin to tell him he got the first one! I couldn’t believe it! Kevin was on his way to another job and said he would come back after he’s finished there to empty the trap and let’s still keep them out there for the next (3) days b/c there may be more! Absolutely I say! Kevin and Heather are great. If you’re looking for someone to get rid of groundhogs, squirrels or any other animals in the wild kingdom around your home, definitely give them a call. Be blessed everyone.

In the past 5-6 years, I have had at least four different companies come to supposedly solve my raccoon roommate problems…and of course, I have spent thousands of dollars only to have them come back and take up residence in my attic. Kevin and Heather spoke with me extensively on the phone and I could tell that #1 they understood what I have gone through, #2 they care and told me they believe in honest work and helping people, and #3 assured me that they would help me to resolve this major problem. They came to my house on March 1, 2016, explained the way they work, walked through my home and outside around the house and on the roof, took pictures and shared them with me. They set two traps and committed to return the next day to check them…today, March 2, they returned, and both traps held my old raccoon roommates. Kevin and Heather are the absolute best! I called him in a panic over a raccoon infestation in the attic of a rental property in MD, I lived in DC, so I was nervous to find a reputable person. I spoke with Kevin after having talked with Terminix (who gave me inaccurate/ very vague information about the raccoon infestation). From my first conversation with Kevin I knew he was on point. Kevin, who specializes in Wildlife removal, is highly knowledgeable about local critters; their habits and behaviors. He found the source of the problem: a hole in the chimney of the property and sealed it. Additionally, he sealed another corner of the roof and cleaned up the soiled insulation in the attic. Right off the bat Kevin gave me a thorough understanding of how he was going to “raccoon proof” the attic while also dealing with the current infestation and he did just that. I am so thankful for his services and would HIGHLY recommend him for all your Animal Control needs.

I contacted K.P. and they came out the same day and set the traps. Within a couple days, the raccoon was caught and they repaired the damaged vents. Great customer service.

. They will keep setting the traps for the five days in case there are more loving than i know about. NO MORE raccoon parties on my deck makes me very relieved. Kevin will also make suggestions about how to be sure they are gone and can even do repairs to prevent re intrusion. So grateful.
